To help provide relief for Indiana policyholders residing in Delaware, Jefferson, and Randolph counties affected by the recent tornadoes, Aflac will provide a premium grace period starting March 13, 2024, and ending May 13, 2024. This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims and leniency for any other action required under the policy. Aflac will provide a replacement copy of the policy upon request by the policyholder.

To help provide relief for California policyholders residing in Alameda, Butte, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Monterey, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Sutter Counties affected by the winter storms, Aflac will provide a premium grace period starting Feb. 3, 2024, and ending May 21, 2024. This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims and leniency for any other action required under the policy. Aflac will provide a replacement copy of the policy upon request by the policyholder.


On Feb. 21, 2024, the cyber event reported by Change Healthcare, a company that assists healthcare providers with claims submissions and payments, has created a significant impact to health care providers, including hospitals, individual practitioners, practice groups, diagnostic centers, laboratories, and pharmacies. We have determined Aflac’s primary operations are not impacted. Further, Aflac and its subsidiaries do not have any direct connection to Change Healthcare systems in any of Aflac’s systems or applications. At this time, we are not aware of any impact to customer data but we are monitoring for any communications from our critical third-party suppliers. While Change Healthcare’s cyber event was not directed at Aflac, we will provide flexibility with claims submissions related to this incident should it be needed. Aflac Incorporated Names Audrey Boone Tillman General Counsel
Tillman Replaces Retiring Joey Loudermilk

COLUMBUS, Ga., May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac Incorporated announced today the appointment of Audrey Boone Tillman as the Company's General Counsel replacing Joey Loudermilk.  Loudermilk, who announced his pending retirement in February, will remain with Aflac until the end of the year as a senior advisor, completing several key projects during a transition period.

Aflac announces that Audrey Boone Tillman has been appointed to the Company’s General Counsel position replacing the retiring Joey Loudermilk.

Tillman joined Aflac in January 1996 as a member of the Legal department and was promoted to second vice president in September 1997. She was promoted to vice president and senior associate counsel, Legal division, in September 2000. Her work as legal counsel to the Human Resources division led to her promotion to senior vice president, director of Human Resources in August 2001 and ultimately to her current position of executive vice president of Corporate Services in 2008.  Before joining Aflac, Tillman served as an associate professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law.  From 1990 to 1993, she was an associate with the Smith, Helms, Mulliss and Moore law firm in Greensboro, N.C. She also served as a federal judicial law clerk to Judge Richard C. Erwin, U.S. District Court for North Carolina.

Tillman is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the North Carolina State Bar, the Bar of the District of Columbia, and is a past chair of the corporate law section of the National Bar Association. She served as a director-at-large for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and on Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue's Workforce Development Task Force, part of the Commission for a New Georgia. In 2013, she was selected by The Network Journal as one of their 25 Influential Black Women in Business.  Named one of the Top 100 Blacks in Corporate America by Black Professionals magazine for two consecutive years, Tillman has also received the Office Depot Visionary Award, which recognizes dedication, leadership ability and commitment to achieving business success, shaping the direction of the community and helping to improve the lives of women.

Tillman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris doctor degree from the University Of Georgia School Of Law.

Tillman replaces Joey Loudermilk.  Loudermilk joined Aflac in 1983 as head of the Company's then newly formed Legal Department. In 1988, he assumed responsibility for Governmental Relations. In February 1989, he became treasurer for Aflac Incorporated's political action committee (Aflac-PAC) and was appointed senior vice president, corporate counsel, for Aflac Incorporated in 1989. In 1991 he was promoted to general counsel of Aflac Incorporated and Aflac, and in 2000 became an executive vice president of the company.
