To help provide relief for Indiana policyholders residing in Delaware, Jefferson, and Randolph counties affected by the recent tornadoes, Aflac will provide a premium grace period starting March 13, 2024, and ending May 13, 2024. This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims and leniency for any other action required under the policy. Aflac will provide a replacement copy of the policy upon request by the policyholder.

To help provide relief for California policyholders residing in Alameda, Butte, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Monterey, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Sutter Counties affected by the winter storms, Aflac will provide a premium grace period starting Feb. 3, 2024, and ending May 21, 2024. This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims and leniency for any other action required under the policy. Aflac will provide a replacement copy of the policy upon request by the policyholder.


On Feb. 21, 2024, the cyber event reported by Change Healthcare, a company that assists healthcare providers with claims submissions and payments, has created a significant impact to health care providers, including hospitals, individual practitioners, practice groups, diagnostic centers, laboratories, and pharmacies. We have determined Aflac’s primary operations are not impacted. Further, Aflac and its subsidiaries do not have any direct connection to Change Healthcare systems in any of Aflac’s systems or applications. At this time, we are not aware of any impact to customer data but we are monitoring for any communications from our critical third-party suppliers. While Change Healthcare’s cyber event was not directed at Aflac, we will provide flexibility with claims submissions related to this incident should it be needed. Aflac Incorporated Announces Appointment of New Board Member Thomas J. Kenny

COLUMBUS, Ga., Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac Incorporated today announced the appointment of Thomas J. Kenny to its Board of Directors. The appointment was made at today's regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting, filling a vacancy. Kenny's term will expire at the company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders in 2015, at which time he will stand for election along with the other director nominees. The Board has also appointed him to serve on the Investment and Investment Risk Committee.

Kenny brings extensive investment management experience to Aflac Incorporated's Board. Since 2011, he has served as a TIAA-CREF Trustee, and he is currently the chair of the TIAA-CREF Funds Investment Committees. He also serves on the TIAA-CREF Funds Operations Committees. Prior to his role at CREF, Kenny held a variety of leadership positions at Goldman Sachs for 12 years, most recently serving as partner and advisory director. He also held the position of co-head of Global Cash and Fixed Income Portfolio team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was responsible for overseeing the management of more than $600 billion in assets across multiple strategies with teams in London, Tokyo and New York. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Kenny spent 13 years at Franklin Templeton. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master's degree in finance from Golden Gate University. He is a CFA charterholder.
