Last year, U.S. consumers lost $16 billion due to fraud, and victims of identity theft spent approximately 25 hours resolving the issue. However, monetary and time losses can be minimized through proactive monitoring of personal information.1

Aflac Fraud Protection, Powered by EZShield aims to address employees' growing concerns about becoming a victim of fraud. The service, which is offered to employees by their employer as part of a comprehensive benefits program, will help alleviate the stress of fraud with an all-encompassing "Secure- Monitor-Restore" approach to protecting personal information and finances. This saves time and money for employees, while increasing productivity in the workplace.

"EZShield was the clear choice to partner with Aflac based on their world-class identity protection services," said Aflac Vice President of Product Management and Innovation Keith Pellerin. "Considering the vast amount of personal information shared online, it's more critical than ever for employees to protect their personal, financial and credit information."

Employees can benefit from services that extend above-and-beyond what a bank can do to resolve fraud, including:

  • A convenient online identity vault with encrypted digital storage for personal and account information, vital documents, images and other data.
  • A secure mobile app that provides on-the-go access to manage one's identity.
  • Timely fraud news, alerts, educational protection tips and monthly informational emails.
  • 24/7 award-winning fraud protection and support.

"Addressing the significant problem of identity fraud — which impacted nearly 13 million U.S. consumers in 2014-- reflects Aflac's commitment to meeting consumer needs," said EZShield CEO Dale Dabbs. "Both EZShield and Aflac strive to protect their customers, pointing to the natural fit between our two companies."
