To help provide relief for California policyholders residing in Imperial County affected by the August Monsoon Storm, Aflac will provide a premium grace period starting Aug. 24, 2025, and ending April 27, 2026. This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims and leniency for any other action required under the policy. Aflac will provide a replacement copy of the policy upon request by the policyholder.

For Network Dental and Vision Members:

This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims; relaxation of prior authorization, precertification, and referral requirements; access to appropriate out-of-network providers due to unavailability on in-network providers or the members’ displacement; and leniency for any other action required under the certificate. A replacement copy of the certificate will be provided upon request by the certificate holder. Affected members should contact Aflac Benefit Solutions (formerly Argus Dental and Vision) at 855-819-1873, Option 1, for assistance.


To help provide relief for California policyholders residing in Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz Counties affected by the November storm, Aflac will provide a premium grace period starting Nov. 13, 2025, and ending June 16, 2026. This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims and leniency for any other action required under the policy. Aflac will provide a replacement copy of the policy upon request by the policyholder.

For Network Dental and Vision Members:

This grace period also provides an extension of filing deadlines for claims; relaxation of prior authorization, precertification, and referral requirements; access to appropriate out-of-network providers due to unavailability on in-network providers or the members’ displacement; and leniency for any other action required under the certificate. TIME Magazine Honors Innovative My Special Aflac Duck™
Robotic Duck That Helps Children Cope with Cancer Named One of The 50 Best Inventions of 2018

COLUMBUS, Ga., Nov. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac, the leader in voluntary insurance sales at the worksite in the United States and a committed leader in seeking a cure for childhood cancer, today announced that its innovative "smart" robot My Special Aflac Duck™ has been named to TIME Magazine's list of the 50 Best Inventions for 2018. My Special Aflac Duck, designed by Sproutel, is a social robot that uses medical play, lifelike movement, and emotions to engage and help comfort kids during their cancer care. Earlier this year, My Special Aflac Duck was named Best in Show and received the coveted Tech for Good Award at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Aflac CEO Dan Amos and 13-year-old Ethan Daniels admire the innovative My Special Aflac Duck at a ceremony held at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Atlanta earlier this year. Aflac has a goal of providing one -- free of charge -- to every newly diagnosed child, ages 3-13 in the United States.

Aflac is providing My Special Aflac Duck, free of charge, to children between the ages of 3 and 13 who are newly diagnosed with cancer across the United States. The company has invested millions for the program and will continue to invest at least $3 million annually for this ongoing philanthropic campaign. The cost of each duck is $200.

The result: 50 groundbreaking inventions that are changing the way we live, work, play and think about what's possible.
